WETLAND RESTORATION ON THE LOWER MURRAY

Paiwalla, formerly a dairy farm on the floodplains of the lower Murray
in South Australia, has been purchased privately and restored to wetlands by the Wetland Habitats (Paiwalla) Association Inc.

The Association is composed of  a  group  of unit holders who preserve and maintain the area with ongoing financial support and voluntary labour.

Paiwalla is a site of significance for the protection of many species of fauna and flora.

Project funds are constantly needed, and are raised through grant applications to government environmental programs and through donations from the public.
