What is in a Wetland?
Gareth Oerman is the Wetlands Project Officer (Lower Murray) for the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
Gareth has drawn together data that has been collected over the years at Paiwalla and put it into one document. The data includes frog and fish monitoring, bird surveys and water quality.
Water quality is assessed by testing dissolved oxygen, salinity, turbidity and the height and quality of the ground water all of which are critical for life in a big pond.
